COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This Internet-based
HAZWOPER safety training course provides 40 hours of interactive online training for those workers whose job involves voluntary clean-up operations, clean-up operations, emergency response operations, storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. This 40 hour training course includes important topic from 29 CFR 1910.120.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
- Site Characterization to eliminate work hazards
- Familiarize with materials, compounds and mixtures that may contain explosive, flammable, chemical or radiological hazards
- Accentuate the importance of personal protective equipment to limit hazardous exposure
- Establish Site Control Program that limits the risk of exposure for workers working in the hazardous work zone
- Identify existence of hazardous materials in the workplace
- Encourage the use of Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS)
- Implement procedures to treat workers in the event of hazardous exposure
